Originally released in 1967 on the Tamla label, the fifth studio album by the American vocal group The Isley Brothers represents a valuable yet frequently overlooked chapter in the band's discography. The record captures the ensemble's collaboration with the legendary Detroit soul and rhythm and blues hitmakers at Motown. The production featured key songwriters and producers from the company's roster, including Norman Whitfield, Ivy Jo Hunter, and Smokey Robinson.
Built around the signature Motown soul sound, the tracklist highlights the hit Got to Have You Back alongside That’s the Way Love Is, a track later popularized by Marvin Gaye. The reissue of this rare recording restores an essential piece of 1960s pop and soul music history.
