The British four-piece Wood Burnt Red, operating at the intersection of southern rock and country, is preparing to release their debut full-length album, Hold On Tight. The band lineup consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Tom Franklin, lead guitarist Rob Graney, bassist Russ Staples, and drummer Ed Baldwin. Across the album's eleven tracks, the musicians prioritized emotional honesty and authenticity, tackling personal struggles, mental health, addiction recovery, social connections, and financial pressures.
The release campaign is spearheaded by the single Fire Me Up, co-written with Nashville-based producer Tyler Spicer. Featuring driving guitar riffs, a solid rhythm section, and Tom Franklin's baritone vocals, the track serves as a statement of artistic determination. Alongside high-octane numbers like To The Moon and the socially conscious track Simple Place, the record includes deeply personal material, such as the mental health-focused song Drifting and the fan favorite Bartender, which previously accumulated over 600,000 streams. The official release of Hold On Tight is scheduled for September 4, 2026, backed by Noble PR.
