Stéphane Blok - City 8047 (2026) [Hi-Res]

BAND/ARTIST: Stéphane Blok

The album City 8047 was created in a working-class neighborhood in western Zurich, deriving its title from the area's postal code. Recorded live in a raw "acoustic guitar and vocal" setup without post-production edits, the release stands as a creative manifesto against digital dehumanization, artificial intelligence, and virtual fakery. The sonic identity relies on a unique acoustic guitar technique that seamlessly merges melodies, harmonies, and percussive elements into a single live performance. Stripped-back, radical arrangements grant every track its own distinct resonance. Avoiding political activism, the lyrics focus on emotional depth, timeless themes, and subtle satire. Rooted in the traditions of pop rock and acoustic singer-songwriter storytelling, the music serves as an incantation of hope in dark times.
