Shining (2018) is the final installment of Rome-based collective RanestRane's ambitious conceptual trilogy, dedicated to Stanley Kubrick's iconic cinematic masterpieces (the band previously released A Space Odyssey and A Clockwork Orange). The album is constructed as an alternative, synchronized musical accompaniment to the 1980 psychological horror film of the same name. The recording profoundly conveys the atmosphere of isolation, madness, and claustrophobia of the Overlook Hotel.
