Amelie Lens - AURA (2026)

Ten years after her debut, techno star Amelie Lens has delivered her first full-length album. The Belgian artist experienced a meteoric rise to the summit of the global clubbing circuit before taking her destiny into her own hands by founding her label and party series, Exhale. Following a string of EPs, compilations showcasing emerging talent, and a highly anticipated collaboration with fellow Belgian Charlotte de Witte (on 2025’s "One Mind"), this full-length release comes as a natural progression. Composed almost entirely in isolation—aside from a guest appearance by Angèle on the techno-pop track "Run"—this compact album channels Lens’ enduring passion for the dancefloor, the science of which she has meticulously studied in recent years. Speeding along at around 140 BPM, the tracks borrow elements from across the scene's history, featuring electroclash bass on "The Only One," hazy techno kicks on "4am at RSO" (a tribute to the Berlin club), psytrance rolls on "Drift Away," and acid synths on "Falling Into Acid Dreams"—all executed with a highly effective sense of drama.
