MDMJ is sculptural than musical, carving its way through noise with rhythm and texture. It resembles the sound of the industrial world, but emotive and pensive regarding it.
The letters MDMJ are carved into the pavement outside my home. The name sort of carved itself: or rather by an anonymous graffiti artist. It could be initials, it could be a drug, it could mean absolutely nothing, but it being so dramatically vandalized into the industrial world required an ode to it.
So like the scratched concrete, forever emblazoned with MDMJ, these tracks carve new messages for listeners to discover.
