Nana Mouskouri - Falling in Love Again - Great Songs From the Movies (1993)

This album included soundtracks and interludes. The editor of the album was no less a composer than Michael Legrand.
Since these are the most famous films, most of the songs are generally well-known in Hungary (many even without the film.)
The first one for which Frank Sinatra wrote English lyrics was originally the music for the 1959 French-Spanish-Brazilian cult film Black Orpheus, composed by the Brazilian Louis Bonfa. In Hungary, it was sung by János Vámosi under the title "Where are you going?" back in the sixties.

But a lot could be written about each song; Smile, for example, was composed by Chaplin (he also composed the music for many of his films, not only wrote-directed and 'starred' in them...) Eric Clapton also played it, but Michael Jackson also made his own version.

Until now, the song "The Windmills Of Your Mind" has always "passed me by", even though it was sung in Hungarian a long time ago, and "how, how not, it was also composed by Legrand. It was the theme song for the 1968 film "Thomas Crown".

Nana sings all the songs with inspiration and wonder without exception. She can get into any "skin" without you even realizing that it's all the same singer, the same voice. She sings German hits, French chansons, Greek folk songs, American country songs, Italian opera arias as if each nation had its own, ancient derivative.
