Djabe - Art In Tone (2023)

In October 2022, the Djabe band made a special recording at the ARTONE studio of the Dutch Record Industry record company. The band recorded the 4 sides of the double album directly onto a disc. The recording was done on the Direct Metal Mastering cutting machine, exclusively on high-quality analog equipment.
The band is known for the excellent sound of their recordings and vinyl records. Several of their records were recorded using analog technology, and they always cut their records from analog master tapes, but they have never recorded any of their albums directly onto a disc.

Thanks to the high-quality technology of the ARTONE studio and the preparation of the studio staff, the result is unique in the band's history. The records reproduce the analog sound to a degree that is outstanding even in international terms.

Tamás Barabás, the band's sound engineer and bassist, worked closely with the studio's specialists, engineers Rinus Hooning and Martijn Schouten, during the recording.

Related news is that the footage of the concert in Timisoara from last year's tour with Steve Hackett will soon be released in blu-ray / 3 LP / CD format; the footage has been available on YouTube since Christmas, and since April is already around the corner, hopefully it will be in stores as soon as possible.
