British multi-instrumentalist, producer, and visual artist Nasser Bouzida built his career from childhood kitchen improvisations into a staple of the independent music scene. After forming the ska outfit The Loafers at age 15, he backed Laurel Aitken and performed alongside Desmond Dekker and Bad Manners. He later founded Big Boss Man and The Bongolian, joined groups such as Skooby and Espadrille, and released reggae and roots projects under the alias Big Boss Sound. His recording history features collaborations with Morcheeba, Prince Fatty, Holly Golightly, The Link Quartet, Fay Hallam, and a remix for Paul Weller. In May 2023, the artist debuted his first official solo album and 7-inch single, delivering a collection of dancefloor tracks. Nasser Bouzida performed nearly all instrumental arrangements himself, bringing in saxophonist and flutist Simon Currie as a co-writer and guest soloist.
