Recorded in Iowa and produced by Michael Cutsforth, the release marks a significant artistic pivot: after a series of full-band records, the artist returns to an intimate, acoustic sound at the intersection of blues, soul, and roots music. Stripped-back arrangements recreate the raw immediacy of a live performance, highlighting guitar, deep vocal delivery, and story-driven songwriting. Through his lyrics, Kevin Burt explores universal human experiences—love, loss, fear, joy, and emotional healing—delivering a reflective, unpretentious, and deeply empathetic musical message.
