Working Live (Vol. 1) (2003) is the first live album by British super-drummer Carl Palmer, founder and member of the legendary bands Emerson, Lake & Palmer (ELP), Asia, and Atomic Rooster. The album was released on Sanctuary Records and Metal Mind Productions.
Virtuosic, incredibly energetic, guitar-driven, and dense. Unlike ELP's keyboard-centric original sound, Palmer replaced keyboards with lead guitar in his solo band, the Carl Palmer Band. ELP compositions and classical themes are presented in fresh, heavy, and driving trio arrangements.
