Japanese composer Kotaro Maruyama, who creates scores for visual media and commercials, draws inspiration from the heritage of Toru Takemitsu, centering his craft around silence, room ambience, and spatial depth.
His debut solo album Vapor Curve was constructed entirely on an OP-Z digital synthesizer and recorded in a single take without computer editing.
