Brooklyn-based musician, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Mark Ciani presents the full-length concept album Utopia, scheduled for release on August 21, 2026. The artist's career spans participation in punk and ska bands, production work for other projects, and a series of solo releases under the names Stone Mountain Station, The Alternative Facts, Model Citizen, and Crane Kick.
Tracked at Dreamland Recording Studios in New York alongside Grammy-winning engineer Fernando Lodeiro, the 12-track collection serves as an exploration of the human condition, confronting themes of PTSD, political disillusionment, anxiety, mortality, memory, and grief. Each piece treats the recording studio as an active instrument: cinematic guitar arrangements on Fault Lines transition into introspective blues rock on Nothingness Blues, guest female vocals on Am I Not a Woman, and contrasting instrumental shifts on March of Angels and Demons. Rather than offering simple conclusions, the project examines the human impulse to seek ideal spaces, weaving together indie rock and atmospheric studio craftsmanship.

1-2 Mark Ciani - Heaven Can't Be Eternity [3:51]
