The Boogie House Tapes Volume 2 is the second entry in Canned Heat's archival series, assembled by longtime drummer and producer Adolfo "Fito" de la Parra together with Belgian boogie-music collector Walter "Dr. Boogie" de Paduwa, who runs a private boogie museum in Overijse. The set was issued on the German blues label Ruf Records in 2004 as a double CD; a separate digital edition followed in 2015 through rights holder Friday Rights Management, LLC.
Disc one gathers the final studio recordings of guitarist and singer Alan "Blind Owl" Wilson, four slide-guitar pieces cut from his hospital bed after a suicide attempt in 1970, alongside frontman Bob "The Bear" Hite's last known roadhouse recording, made shortly before his death in 1981. Disc two draws on two early-1990s live shows featuring original guitarist Henry "Sunflower" Vestine.
