"12 Monkeys (Music From The Syfy Original Series)" is the soundtrack to the Syfy science fiction series "12 Monkeys" (2015–2018), written by renowned composer, multi-instrumentalist, and former Yes guitarist Trevor Rabin, along with Paul Linford.
The soundtrack seamlessly complements the dark, twisted atmosphere of time travel, apocalypse, and paranoia woven into the series' plot (which, in turn, was inspired by Terry Gilliam's cult 1995 film of the same name).
The music is a dense hybrid of modern electronic textures, industrial sound effects, and a live symphony orchestra. Rabin draws on his extensive film and rock experience (he composed the soundtracks for blockbusters Armageddon, Con Air, and Enemy of the State) to create tense, dynamic, and cinematic compositions.
