Dino, Desi & Billy earn top billing, but the soundtrack to the 1969 surf feature Follow Me really belongs to composer and arranger Stu Phillips, whose exotic, sun-kissed themes perfectly capture life atop and below the waves. Phillips' main theme, "Thru Spray-Colored Glasses," weaves across the album in myriad guises, adopting the indigenous elements and accents of cinematic settings spanning from Hawaii to Hong Kong to India -- harpsichord, vibes, and woodwinds lend the music its beachcomber atmosphere, drawing inspiration from pop and jazz as well as world music to span the globe at 33 and 1/3 revolutions per minute.~ Review by Jason Ankeny
