A musical collaboration between Jerry A, frontman of the Portland punk rock outfit Poison Idea, and members of the Australian punk band The Hard-Ons—Blackie, Ray, and Murray—has culminated in the release of their self-titled joint album, Hard-Ons/Jerry A. The history between both acts dates back to the late 1980s through shared tours and a 1993 collaboration on the track The Blade for The Hard-Ons' album Too Far Gone, a song later featured on Jerry A's solo record From The Fire Into The Water.
This renewed partnership gained momentum during a 2025 US tour alongside Napalm Death and The Melvins, which was preceded by the single You Won't Shut Up / Dead End Turnaround. Following a European tour, the group released the single My One Regret and set an August 14 release date for the full-length album. The record is being issued via Cheersquad Records & Tapes in Australia and New Zealand, and American Leather for the rest of the world, with availability across digital platforms, CD, cassette, and multiple limited-edition vinyl pressings. Musically, the project blends elements of hardcore punk, punk rock, and alternative rock.
