Rhins - The Invisible (2026) Hi Res

The Invisible is Rhins' latest offering, a work plunged into volatility and dissolution—written in torment, recorded on the run, with everything flung at the wall.

The album was made amidst the chaos of moving home and moving through life, and that displacement bleeds into every moment. There is no structure to begin with, only improvisation: analog synthesizers sprawl into long-form compositions, then are torn apart and reassembled, like a painting built through layers of application, removal, and reapplication until something finally emerges. The result is a wall of noise that speaks where words fail, communicating the frustration of being unintelligible in a neurotypical world.

Throughout THE INVISIBLE, Rhins is forever being smashed with challenges presented by neurotypical humans, permanently in need of regulatory behaviors, confronted by false senses of security where the moment you think the worst is over, everything doubles up. Constant tension and devastation repeat over and over, crashing into itself in a circle of torment. Massive releases gather only to lose everything. The need for calm and peace surfaces again and again, and never comes.

Gestures of musical stimming pulse without direction or intention. Voices appear without language. The album wears everything on its sleeve, drawing on the slow-building dread of 70s and 80s horror soundtracks and the wordless intimacy of ethereal vocal traditions, but it answers to none of them. Where Rhins' previous work began with structure and dismantled it, THE INVISIBLE inverts the process entirely: an album with no structure at all, built up into one through sheer accumulation and excavation.
