"Where There's A Will" (1995) is the second studio album by the Canadian country rock/new traditionalist band South Mountain, released by Stony Plain Records.
"Where There's A Will" cemented South Mountain's status as one of the most vibrant and professional Canadian country bands of the mid-1990s. Formed by virtuoso guitarist Steve Peticco, vocalist and guitarist Don Reed, and other experienced session musicians, the band showcased a harmonious blend of classic country sounds with contemporary, radio-friendly rock drive.
The album's sound is anchored by a tight rhythm section, expressive pedal steel guitar, fiddle, and, especially, the lightning-fast guitar solos of Steve Peters (one of the best Telecaster guitarists on the Canadian scene). Vocal harmonies and soulful ballad arrangements give the album a traditional yet polished feel.
