"Londres - 1970" is one of the most experimental and mature albums by the legendary Spanish duo Dúo Dinámico (Manuel de la Calva and Ramón Arcusa). A remastered version of the album was officially released in 2018 on digital platforms and CD.
By the late 1960s, the duo decided to move away from their signature style of early rock 'n' roll and light pop. They traveled to London to record at renowned British studios with leading local session musicians and arrangers. The album became a sonic bridge between classic Spanish pop and the sophisticated European pop-rock of the 1970s.
On this record, traditional duet vocals are supported by rich orchestrations, elements of psychedelic pop, baroque pop, and brass sections in keeping with the British scene of the time.
