Kalaban - Don't Panic (1991)

Don't Panic is the debut full-length album by the American progressive rock band Kalaban (from Salt Lake City, Utah), released in 1991 on Nightwing Records.

The album is a striking example of the American neo-progressive wave of the late 1980s and early 1990s. The band's sound is built on rich keyboard arrangements (with extensive use of analog and digital synthesizers), melodic guitar solos, complex rhythmic shifts, and melodramatic vocals. Musically, the band drew inspiration from classics of the 1970s genre (Kansas, Genesis, Yes), as well as the European neo-prog scene of the 1980s (Marillion, IQ, Saga).

The album's composition combines dynamic instrumentals with memorable song structures, making Don't Panic a notable release in the American underground progressive rock scene of the 1990s.
