"Ebay Queen" is the debut studio album by the Greek female synth-pop duo Marsheaux (Marianna Papamakariou and Sophie Saragiannidou), released in 2004 on the independent label Undo Records.
The album is in the best traditions of European analog synth-pop. The music clearly draws influence from classics of the 1980s genre—Depeche Mode, The Human League, Ladytron, and Client—but with a modern, softer, and sunnier "Mediterranean" edge.
The recording is built on the retro sounds of analog synthesizers, light, minimalist drum machines, and gentle, detached, melancholic female vocals.
The album brought the duo international recognition among indie electronica enthusiasts. The album includes such well-known tracks as the title track “Ebay Queen,” “Popcorn” (a stylish cover of Gershon Kingsley’s famous instrumental) and “Analyze.”
