"Done With The Coldness" (2013) is the debut studio album by the Dutch super project TumbleTown, founded by multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer Aldo Adema (ex-Egdon Heath) and vocalist Han Uil (ex-Antiques, Seven Reizh).
The album is imbued with the classic spirit of European neo-prog, with a deep, slightly melancholic, yet luminous atmosphere. The title and musical theme symbolize overcoming life's "cold," emotional warming, and hope.
The music is built on beautiful melodic lines, expressive keyboard parts (in the vein of Genesis, Camel, and Marillion), multi-layered guitar solos, and a dynamic rhythm section.
Han Uitenbroek's memorable, emotional, and pure timbre imbues the compositions with a distinctive narrative and dramatic character.
The album was a great start for the band and is highly regarded by fans of high-quality melodic progressive rock for its harmonious blend of accessible melodies and complex instrumental structure.
