Merryweather Stark Wackerman - Cosmic Affect (2022)

Cosmic Affect is the final collaboration between legendary Canadian bassist and vocalist Neil Merryweather, Swedish guitarist Janne Stark, and renowned American drummer John Wackerman.

The album was released in November 2022 and was dedicated to the memory of Neil Meriweather, who passed away in March 2021.

In November 2019, the musicians met at Skeleton Key Recordings in Las Vegas and, in just two and a half days, wrote and recorded material for 10 tracks in a single breath, without prior rehearsals.

The title "Cosmic Affect" was suggested by John Wackerman, who noted the genuine synergy and "cosmic chemistry" between the three musicians that allowed the album to be created so quickly.

Following Meriwether's death in 2021, Ian Stark and Neil's family decided to rework and refine the archival vocal and instrumental tracks, releasing the album in 2022.
