American band Bondo releases their third studio album, once again recorded live — the way they're used to working, moving through songs with full emotional commitment. The record rests on a rare balance: eleven tracks form a unified statement, yet the band isn't afraid to shift registers within it. Some songs follow traditional songwriting conventions, built around recognizable verses and choruses that immediately hook the listener. Others are built around Bondo's signature instrumental language — slowly unfolding, nearly weightless structures that at some point stop functioning as musical form altogether and dissolve into pure space and silence.
Critics describe the band's sound as foggy and deliberately obscured — music that doesn't demand attention but instead waits for the listener to come to it with headphones on and eyes closed.
