Velvet Revolutions Volume Two is the second compilation in the UK label Particles' series devoted to psychedelic rock from behind the Iron Curtain, following up on the 2013 release Velvet Revolutions: Psychedelic Rock From The Eastern Bloc 1968–1973. The twenty tracks span 1967 to 1971 and draw on acts from Czechoslovakia (Olympic, The Matadors, Blue Effect), Yugoslavia (Kameleoni, Grupa 220, Crni Biseri), Poland (Breakout, Romuald I Roman, No To Co) and Hungary (Hungaria, Illes, Omega, Progress Organisation).
Olympic feature four times on the compilation and are credited with being the founding fathers of Eastern Bloc rock, according to dereksmusicblog, which traces the band's evolution across four different studio albums represented here, from their 1968 debut Želva through to 1971's Jedeme Jedeme 3.
