Complete Cadillac is a 2007 double-CD compilation released by Warner Music Finland (WEA), gathering the early Finnish-era recordings of The Renegades — the Birmingham band that, against all odds, became one of Finland's biggest pop sensations of the mid-1960s. The material draws on their Scandia-label albums Cadillac (1964) and The Renegades (1965), plus a run of Finnish singles from 1965–66.
The lineup features Kim Brown on rhythm guitar, keyboards, harmonica, banjo and vocals; Ian Mallett on bass; Graham Johnson on drums, percussion and vocals; and Denys Gibson on lead guitar and vocals, with Joe Dunnet joining on select later tracks. Formed in Birmingham in the early 1960s, the band found little traction at home but became a genuine phenomenon in Finland after an October 1964 Helsinki visit that snowballed from a one-off gig into a seven-week tour. The set's title track and best-known song, "Cadillac," is a slowed-down reworking of Vince Taylor's "Brand New Cadillac," while the rest of the collection mixes original compositions (credited to Gibson-Johnson-Mallett-Brown) with covers of Buddy Holly, Little Richard, Ray Charles, and Carole King/Gerry Goffin, among others. Taken together, the compilation stands as one of the fullest surviving documents of the band's Finnish golden years, though multiple differently-sequenced "Cadillac"-titled compilations of this material exist.
