The Slovak all-female vocal ensemble Neha! was born in 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when six singers found in one another a source of support and creative inspiration during a difficult period of isolation. The project was founded by Zuzana Vranka Žiaková, who recognized in each member a unique voice and personality capable of merging into something greater — a polyphonic sound built on trust and shared artistic daring. Choir director Bohdana Ljashko soon joined the group, and her professional expertise helped turn the singers' genuine enthusiasm into refined stage craft while preserving the warmth and immediacy of their singing. By 2021, Neha! was confidently reaching audiences: the ensemble performed at intimate Slovak venues — Letná slávnosť na Sekierskych lúkach, HippieJam, StreetArt Fest Piešťany — and later on international stages, including the Pilsen Busking Fest in the Czech Republic, where the six-voice polyphony resonated beyond its home country.
