Don Filemon y Su Banda – El Charlatán (1980)

"El Charlatán" is a full-length album of Latin American tropical music and salsa by the Venezuelan group Don Filemón y Su Banda (also known as La Súper Banda de Don Filemón), released in 1980 on the Discomoda label.
Don Filemón y Su Banda was formed in the 1970s by Venezuelan leader and vocalist Luis Felipe González. The group became famous for its energetic tropical dance sound, combining dynamic brass sections, percussion, and a fiery vocal style. The album "El Charlatán" is a classic example of Latin American salsa and tropical rhythms from the early 1980s. The album is filled with vibrant brass arrangements, dance beats (vaguancó, merengue, cumbia) and the recognizable vocals of González himself.
