Argentine musicians Sofía Viola and Pedro Canales (known as Chancha Vía Circuito) began their artistic paths in the same year, in the southern suburbs of Buenos Aires. More than twenty years ago, their paths crossed during underground music nights and theater performances in the Temperley neighborhood, though their music wouldn't truly merge until much later. During the pandemic, both were invited to perform at a concert built around the idea of intertwining their distinct sounds. The improvisations born that night captivated them so deeply that they decided to develop them into full songs. As the material took shape, it grew increasingly mysterious, mystical, and spiritual, eventually coalescing into the album "Oro en Ti". Its songs turn toward themes of devotion, connection with the divine, and unity with nature and humanity — themes the artists see as essential at a time when the world is consumed by chaos, and faith and hope become anchors for survival. The album's sonic palette weaves together Latin American musical traditions with Eastern influences, reflecting the two artists' shared spiritual and mystical quest.
