This album was created with the hope that not only those who have supported Kohno in the past, but also everyone sharing this moment with her, will have their daily lives filled with light. The beauty of the first movement of Barrios' "La Catedral," resonating in silence, conveys the sincerity of the "prayer" that Kohno has poured into this album. This album features popular pieces such as "Unaccompanied Violin Sonata No. 1 in G minor, BWV 1001," arranged by Gentaro Takada, one of Kohno's teachers; Regondi's works with beautiful arpeggios and tremolos, "Julia Florida" and "Cavatina"; and Vavilov's "Ave Maria," arranged by Kohno. Kohno's remarkable rich lyricism shines through in these pieces. Yukihiro Yokoo, who composed and arranged the last two pieces, was also one of Kohno's teachers. His tender, lovingly woven melodies convey his deep feelings for his teacher, who passed away in 2009. Experience the gratitude and prayer-filled "heart" of Kohno that envelops the entire album.
