Hidden on the Mediterranean coast in the south of France, Cabanon Le Parasol is one of them. A small holiday house where long lunches melt into sunsets, where music drifts through open windows, and where every summer leaves behind its own soundtrack.
Inspired by this timeless atmosphere, Salon Records presents Cabanon Le Parasol, a summer compilation bringing together artists from across the international electronic scene. Rather than following a single genre, the project captures a shared feeling: warm evenings, slow mornings, endless roads, salt on the skin and the freedom that only summer seems to offer.
Across the release, the compilation features exclusive music from Matthew Dear, Husband (the new project from Khan of Finland), Rework, Damianism, Love & Affection (Johannes Auvinen aka Tin Man), Nick Leng, Eric D. Clark with Whirlpool Productions, Markus Schatz, Tim Dornbusch & Tilman, Anneke Laurent, Di Saronno, Peter Big Fish (We Are From LA), and more.
From electronic pop to leftfield house, indie dance, cosmic grooves and understated club music, every track was selected to evoke the same destination rather than the same style.
The visual universe was conceived as an extension of the music. French photographer Paul Rousteau collaborated with creative studio Playground.Paris to create an original visual identity unfolding throughout the three chapters, celebrating colour, light and the poetic simplicity of Mediterranean summers.
More than a compilation, Cabanon Le Parasol is an invitation to escape.
