The Mountain Will Fall is a studio album by DJ Shadow, released June 24, 2016 on Mass Appeal Records. The record marked a notable shift in the producer's approach: moving away from the dense sample collages that defined his early work toward original composition, built around synthesizers and live instrumentation including horns. Guests on the album include Run The Jewels, Nils Frahm, Matthew Halsall, and Ernie Fresh. The lead single, "Nobody Speak," earned RIAA gold certification, surpassed 120 million Spotify streams, and became one of the defining tracks of his career; its satirical video depicting brawling politicians arrived months before the 2016 U.S. presidential election. In summer 2026, to mark the album's tenth anniversary — coinciding with the 30th anniversary of his debut Endtroducing….. — DJ Shadow released an anniversary reissue of The Mountain Will Fall. It arrives alongside a reworked "Nobody Speak Part 2," retaining Run The Jewels while adding new verses from Denzel Curry and TiaCorine, both collaborators in his multimedia project The Scythe. Standard and deluxe vinyl editions of the anniversary reissue are opening for pre-order via Mass Appeal.
