"Magic Rhythm" (1979) is the debut studio album by Australian pop singer Christie Allen, released in November 1979 on the iconic local label Mushroom Records. The album established the singer as one of Australia's biggest pop sensations of the turn of the decade.
Christie Allen was born in the UK, but her musical career blossomed after moving to Australia. A key factor in the success of "Magic Rhythm" was her collaboration with renowned British producer and songwriter Terry Britten (who would later write Tina Turner's smash hit "What's Love Got to Do with It"). Britten produced the album entirely and wrote most of its tracks.
