FivesLiveJive is the first live album by Australian rock 'n' roll revival band Ol' 55, released in September 1977 on Mushroom Records.
The recording was made at the peak of the band's commercial popularity, immediately following the resounding success of their debut studio album, Take It Greasy (1976). The album enjoyed great success in Australia, reaching number three on the Kent Music Report national album chart.
The album was recorded during the band's live performances in Sydney (at The State Theatre and The Regent Theatre) using the 2SM/Mushroom mobile studio. FivesLiveJive perfectly captures the frenetic energy of their concerts and the flawless multi-part vocal harmonies, which were recreated on stage without studio tricks.
This release still features the band's classic "golden" lineup, with frontmen Frankie J. Holden and Luke Lewis, as well as guitarist and chief ideologist Rockpile Jones. Just a few months after this release, Frankie J. would leave the band, making this live album an important historical document of the Ol' 55's iconic era. As a bonus, the original vinyl included a special bonus 7-inch single (EP) with four tracks.
