Joey G ii - London Skye (2026)

Joey G ii returns to the label with his second album, London Skye — a concept record written as the imagined soundtrack to an unfinished video game set in a near-future, ultra-privatized dystopian London.

The album’s first half focuses on the people inhabiting this world: Skye (the games protagonist) and others drifting through a society hollowed out by apathy and corporate control. In this fictional technofeudalist landscape, private entities oversee everything from policing and healthcare to restaurants and housing.

Opening track “Ballad of Skye” pays tribute to England’s rich trip-hop lineage, following Skye as she navigates the quiet despair of everyday existence in this fractured city.

Second track “Supermodernity” shifts perspective, capturing London through the eyes of different cultures attempting to make sense of a post-capitalist hellscape through warped synth textures and restless electronic rhythms.

The album’s second half turns its attention toward the corporations themselves, moving between introspective ballads such as “The Company” and c-suite diatribes like “The Boss,” all soundtracked by evolving synth basslines, processed guitars, and bursts of controlled chaos.

Fresh off back-to-back releases on Rhythm Section International alongside fellow label founder Klein Zage, Joey G ii expands further into a world where nostalgia, decay, corporate surrealism, and late-night city solitude blur together.
