"R U SCIENCE?" is a solo studio album by American musician, singer, and multi-instrumentalist John Palumbo, the longtime leader and frontman of the iconic progressive rock band Crack The Sky. The album was released on May 8, 2026, via Iconoclassic Records.
The album's release coincided with another important event in the musician's career: simultaneously with the album, Palumbo released his debut psychological novel, "Swimming The Cleveland Ocean."
"R U SCIENCE?" is a sharp, topical, and sociopolitical album. Unlike his previous work, Palumbo almost completely abandons his signature sarcasm, replacing it with direct, harsh, and uncompromising lyrics. The album becomes a manifesto, reflecting on the challenges of our time: from the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) to the pressing issues of migration.
The album is aimed at a thoughtful audience and lovers of deep, atmospheric art rock with strong lyrical content, although Palumbo was not afraid to take risks, realizing that his outspoken political stance in 2026 could cause controversy among the conservative part of the fan base.
