Finnish multi-instrumentalist Simo Hakalisto, operating under his Shakali moniker, has released a new album titled "Toinen Luonto" ("Second Nature"). The eight-track release delivers a mosaic sonic tapestry crafted from rare acoustic instruments (including a unique 36-string kantele), natural elements, and obscure electronics. The album's texture is built upon meditative resonances, vibrations, and silences. The recording features contributions from several guest collaborators, including Julian Overall, Timo Juntunen from the duo Lunar Horns, Roy Werner, and Les Halles.
