"Bright Eyes" is a studio album by British composer, pianist, and arranger Johnny Pearson and his orchestra, released in late 1979 on Rampage Records.

The album was released at the end of the decade and marked an important stage in the development of pop and orchestral music, when classical string arrangements began to actively incorporate elements of soft rock, disco rhythms, and the smooth synth-pop of the late 1970s. The album's title track is a wildly successful orchestral interpretation of Mike Batt's ballad "Bright Eyes" (written for the cult animated film Watership Down and performed by Art Garfunkel as a major British hit in 1979).

"Bright Eyes" is a masterful cross-section of the key pop melodies and radio hits of 1978–1979, reimagined through the prism of Johnny Pearson's signature piano style. With extensive experience in television and library music (particularly for the legendary KPM label), Pearson had an impeccable sense of how to refresh a hit while preserving its emotional essence.
