Danish violinist and composer Bjarke Falgren presents his second solo album Turkis (released June 26, 2026), marking his most personal artistic statement to date. Developed intuitively without predetermined outcomes, the music blends elements of jazz, folk traditions, and improvisation, emphasizing space, silence, and a tactile, breath-like bowing technique on his 300-year-old instrument. Endorsed as a successor by the legendary Svend Asmussen and known for his collaborations with guitarist Sönke Meinen, Falgren recorded the album alongside a stellar lineup featuring Heine Hansen, Morten Lundsby, Eliel Williams Lazo Linares, Anders Holm Jensen, and Jakob Riis Holm.
