"Shots and Dollars" is the second full-length studio album by the international independent project Ice Of Neptune, released on March 31, 2026. Formed by vocalist Pierlorenzo Molinari (Italy) and guitarist/producer Timoleon Adamopoulos (Greece), the band presents a large-scale and eclectic work that surpasses their debut release five years earlier.
The album is a dark rock opera, immersing the listener in the cinematic atmosphere of the United States during the Great Depression. The conceptual story unfolds in Chicago, beginning in 1929.
The plot centers on a boy raised in extreme poverty. As he grows older, his ambitions develop into obsession, and he begins a rapid climb up the criminal underworld. The plot reaches its climax with a spontaneous murder during a robbery, which triggers the protagonist's self-destruction and returns him to where it all began—behind bars. The narrative is cyclical and dramatic.
The album is a bold and eccentric experiment. It may surprise or even discourage with its genre instability (from synth-pop to metalcore), but it will certainly delight fans of large-scale conceptual stories, high-quality prog rock, and theatrical drama.
