Strut Records releases a reissue of the rare 1995 album Low Profile (Not For The Blacks) by Nigerian saxophonist Lekan Animashaun, the long-time musical director of Fela Kuti's Egypt 80 band. The recording of the LP initially began in 1977 under the direct production of Fela Kuti himself. The album's concept critiques the racially charged governmental rhetoric during Nigeria's 1970s oil boom while promoting ideas of personal integrity and human equality.
