The 1988 debut release by Burma Jam was issued through Gawa Records exclusively on cassette. The band independently handled the artwork for the physical media: the labels were hand-drawn, photocopied, and folded by the musicians, with each cassette featuring unique, original writing. The majority of the material was captured on an 8-track recorder at the parental home of band member John Booker, while two tracks were recorded at their rehearsal space. Local guest musicians and peers also contributed to the recording.
