most productive musicians. Four Moons by the Paul Dunmall Quartet, a
hand-picked group of formidable musicians from the current new wave of
jazz and improv players, is a collection of four pieces recorded at Bristols University of West England.
This release is a fine example of Paul Dunmall’s creative attitude to free
music, his playing here is never less than inspirational and Mike Hurley,
Percy Pursglove and Miles Levin provide instant rapport and gravitas to
proceedings. A welcome addition to the Dunmall discography from a
quality new quartet.
