"Il Pittore Volante" (The Flying Artist) is the second studio album by the Italian progressive rock band La Nuova Raccomandata con Ricevuta di Ritorno (often shortened to New R.R.R.), released in 2010 on BTF / Vinyl Magic.

This release marked one of the most high-profile and unexpected comebacks in the history of Italian progressive rock (RPI). The band returned to the stage and studio 38 years after the release of their cult masterpiece, "Per... un mondo di cristallo" (1972).

In terms of genre, the album represents benchmark Italian progressive rock (Rock Progressivo Italiano - RPI), carefully preserving the traditions of the 1970s but adapting them to a powerful, modern studio sound.
