"So What's New?" is a studio album by German pianist, composer, and conductor Horst Jankowski, released in 1966 on Mercury Records (in Germany, on Mercury/Phonogram).

This record is a benchmark example of easy listening and exotic lounge music of the mid-1960s. The album captured Jankowski at the height of his international popularity, when his signature "Stuttgart sound" conquered not only Europe but also the American charts.

In 1966, riding the wave of the success of his major hit "A Walk in the Black Forest" (1965), "So What's New?" cemented Jankowski's status as one of the "Big Three" German kings of easy listening, alongside Bert Kaempfert and James Last.

Today, this album is considered a classic of Space Age Pop and retro lounge. It is highly prized by DJs and vintage vinyl collectors for its impeccable stereo mixing quality from the 60s and the unique atmosphere of optimism of those years.
