American DJ and producer Dr. Rock, who rose to prominence through his work with Dr. Dre in the World Class Wreckin’ Cru, co-founded the hip-hop group Fila Fresh Crew. Following their debut on the N.W.A. compilation and the release of the 1988 album "Tuffest Man Alive" on his own Get Live Records label, the group disbanded, prompting Dr. Rock to pursue a solo career. In 1991, he released the solo record "Taking Charge" under the group's moniker. Years later, this release is receiving its first-ever vinyl edition featuring a newly remastered audio.
