Something to Remember is Madonna's third compilation album, released on November 7, 1995, by Maverick Records. The album features a selection of Madonna's greatest ballad hits, along with three new songs: "I Want You", "You'll See", and "One More Chance". It also includes a remix of "Love Don't Live Here Anymore", which first appeared on her 1984 album Like a Virgin. The compilation has sold over 8 million copies worldwide.
Latin American releases included a bonus track, a Spanish-language version of "I'll See", titled "Verás". (They could have put it on the European release too, because it's damn rare and, incidentally, at least as atmospheric as the English version; if not more atmospheric; and it would have fit in there. Moreover, it's only available on a rare EP, nowhere else....)
The photoshoot for the cover took place in a Milan studio, where Madonna wore clothes from the Versace fashion house. The pictures were published in Vanity Fair, NME and Vogue Italia magazines; and an alternative back edition of the CD was also made (this one here..), but unfortunately the booklet was not changed and a few pictures could have been included, imho...
This selection was also left out of the well-priced 11-CD box; however, according to its subtitle, it contained the studio albums, so it's correct. Even if it's missing.
