French artist Thalie Némésis has released her long-awaited full-length album via her own label, Meridian Noir Records. Following her 2014 debut and collaboration with Les Modules Étranges, the artist took a ten-year hiatus to refine her sound and build a collaborative network, notably working with executive producer Peter Rainman. Moving away from simplistic anger, the new record delivers a complex, multi-layered sonic experience. Heavily inspired by the aesthetic of Nine Inch Nails during "The Fragile" era, industrial rock, gothic rock, and darkwave elements, the album seamlessly balances roaring guitars, intricate string arrangements, and chilling synth textures. The vocals, delivered in both English and French, serve as the cohesive core that binds these structurally diverse tracks into a bold and conceptual piece of art.
