Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso – Canto di primavera (1979)

"Canto di primavera" is the seventh studio album by the Italian progressive rock band Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, released in 1979.
Softer, more pastoral, and melodic than their complex early work from 1972–1973, the album is strongly influenced by Mediterranean folk.
This is the band's last album to feature their classical guitarist Rodolfo Maltese before the band's temporary shift in direction.
The late 1970s in Italy were a difficult time for progressive rock. Bands either broke up or shifted to a more commercial pop sound. This album served as a beautiful farewell for Banco del Mutuo Soccorso to their classic 1970s era.
